Our Verdict:

The TallyGenicom T2040 dot matrix printer can be used for printing reports, bar codes, labels, shipping bills, invoices, and more. It has decent print speed and is very reliable. It has 2 standard media handling features, with the option to upgrade. This model is ideal for small offices but may not meet the demands of busier working environments.

Design

The compact TallyGenicom T2040 comes with connectivity options and a control panel. The control panel comes with function buttons and a status display. Its paper path on the front is covered with a lid. Standard paper-handling of the TallyGenicom T2040 include a straight paper path and a front push tractor. This 80-column model offers a 24-wire print head. Its standard connectivity options include a serial and parallel port, which can be auto-switched.

Advantages

Thanks to features like paper parking, paper load, quick tear, as well as automatic gap adjustment, the TallyGenicom T2040 can help in reducing paper waste. Multi-part forms of up to 6 pages can be handled by this unit - 1 original and 5 copies. The print speed of the TallyGenicom T2040 can go as fast as 480cps or 400 pages per hour.

Disadvantages
