Xerox Phaser 8400, Quite the Modern Model of Efficiency and Style
The Xerox Phaser 8400 is a very interesting machine at first glance and only tends to become more intriguing after realizing the many different tasks the printer is able to perform. The 8400 model is capable of printing 24 pages per minute in black and color, and can also hold 520 MB of memory, which is very impressive for any printer. The Xerox Phaser 8400 also carries a 580 megahurtz processor, which allows the user to perform the largest of tasks in the quickest of durations. The Xerox Phaser 8400 is a great model of technological design that is built on a slant so the paper is more easily contained and distributed throughout the machine. The printer also has the ability to handle 85,000 pages per month, which is very important for those in offices that need to produce as much content as possible in as little time necessary.
Xerox Phaser 8400 Printer Review
Expert review of the Xerox Phaser 8400 printer
One of the first in Xerox's series of solid ink printers, the Xerox Phaser 8400 costs a fraction of laser printers but still produces excellent quality prints at respectable rates. The series features different models, each with additional features and paper capacities. The base model has a standard configuration, while others include networking, duplexing, and extra paper capacity. The Xerox Phaser 8400 solid inkjet printer is an excellent choice for offices and even home users in need of a quality printer that works affordably. However, the Phaser 8400 is not capable of wireless connectivity, nor does it have additional functions like scanning, copying, or faxing.
The Xerox Phaser 8400 colour printer has a traditional box printer design with a built-in LCD screen and standard 500 MHz processor, allowing the unit to handle large print demands. The Xerox 8400 has a 512 MB internal memory and 20 GB hard disk for extra storage. Since the Xerox Phaser 8400 uses solid ink technology, it cuts warm up time to half, compared to inkjets and laser jets.
The best highlight of the Xerox Phaser 8400 printer is definitely its use of inexpensive solid ink films. This type of ink produces glossy and vibrant finishes and is much cheaper than other ink types. Other notable features include its PostScript compatibility and automatic colour adjustment, which adds convenience especially when printing images and graphics. Cheap compatible Phaser 8400 solid ink sticks can make this device much more cost-friendly when it comes maintenance.
However, the Xerox Phaser 8400 solid ink printer only offers single functionality and its print speeds are not as impressive as laser printers, averaging only 24 pages per minute.
