Part of Sharp's line of mid-volume digital laser copiers, the Sharp AR-206 printer is a reliable multifunction machine aimed at the growing small business. The unit features a multipurpose 100-sheet bypass feeder and generous built-in memory to support the scan once / print many function, a unique feature of the brand's copiers. However, the Sharp AR206 mono laser printer can be expensive to upgrade and there are some limitations to its overall performance.
Design
This copier is not the most compact desktop device made because it is 23 inches wide and 20 inches tall, so it may take up more space than it should. However, the Sharp AR-206 digital laser printer can be placed inconspicuously into a professional environment because of its understated appearance. The Sharp AR-206 digital copier barely stands out with the automatic document feeder found on top of the flatbed scanner, while the user-friendly control panel is conveniently placed in the middle of the device for better access.
Advantages
The Sharp AR-206 photocopier can be configured to be shared by a small workgroup using the optional print server card. A printer expansion kit may be installed so it can be used as a laser printer when connected to a computer. The paper capacity of the Sharp AR-206 digital laser copier can go up to 1,100 sheets when the additional cassette is installed. For more convenience and to save time, users may use the scan once and print many function. Maintaining this copier is relatively straightforward and hassle-free. Simply replace the black Sharp AR-206 copier cartridge every 16,000 pages and enjoy a long spell of reliable, uninterrupted printing.
Disadvantages
