MAXIFY MB2755 Printer Review

Expert review of the MAXIFY MB2755 printer 29 November 2016

Our Verdict:

This multi-functional printer is ideal for home office use or alternatively for anyone looking for a printer for personal use who doesn’t want to sacrifice on function and form. The Canon Maxify MB2755 promises not only high quality prints, but can also fax, copy and scan all from one small machine; the fact that it comes in at a decent price point simply makes it even more attractive for small business and personal users.

Design

The Canon MAXIFY MB-2755 measures 555 x 472 x 478mm and weighs just 12.3kg, making it great for smaller offices and home offices as well. It could easily sit on top of a desk, or possibly inside a cupboard or on a sideboard. The printer comes in a nice matte black finish, giving it a professional look and also has an LCD menu screen that is very intuitive and easy to use. There is a 250 sheet input tray at the base of the machine, while printouts are retrieved from the top of the machine.

Advantages

There are many advantages to the Canon MAXIFY MB2755 not least of which is its multifunctionality. Combined with its size and cost, as well as its efficiency, it makes this printer an excellent all-rounder for anyone in the market for a mid-yield printer. It also has wireless capabilities, and can be used in conjunction with a variety of cloud based services such as Dropbox, Evernote, OneNote, OneDrive and Google Drive. This colour printer is compatible with both Mac and Windows and has integrated duplex printing as standard.

Disadvantages

This is a highly efficient machine, but its printing speeds can’t quite reach those of more expensive, larger printers. For colour printing you can expect 16ppm while printing in monochrome ups the speed to roughly 24ppm, making it unsuitable for offices with high yield printing needs.
