ASK A QUESTION
  • My wife wishes to replace the cartridges in her Canon Pixma IP 1900 printer (FINE print). The existing ones are Canon CL-38 colour and C113 black. Are the black and tri-colour Canon PG-40 and CL-41 ink cartridges in your multipack compatible? Thanks.

    Replacement Canon iP1900 ink cartridges

Yes, the Canon PG-40 and CL-41 cartridges are compatible with the Canon Pixma iP1900 printer. You can buy them individually or in a multipack. We supply original Canon PG-40 and CL-41 ink cartridges manufcatured by Canon or compatible versions made by a third-party. Both types can work reliably in your Pixma iP1900 printer. It's also possible to use the PG-37 and CL-38 ink cartridges in the Canon iP1900 as alternatives to the PG-40 and CL-41. The only difference is that PG-37 and CL-38 are light-user cartridges which contain less ink than PG-40 and CL-41.

  • Do you ship products to Cyprus? If you do, how much would it cost for four or five assorted original cartridges for the Pixma iP-1900 printer?

  • I have the Canon Pixma iP1900 printer and I'm having problems finding ink cartridges C113 and C123. Is there an equivalent please?

    Canon iP1900 ink cartridge codes

The cartridge codes you've provided are product codes that relate to compatible Canon iP1900 ink cartridge sold by another retailer so you won't find them listed on our website. However, we sell the genuine Canon Pixma iP1900 ink cartridges with the official Canon cartridge numbers (PG-40, PG-37, CL-41, CL-38 etc). We also sell our own compatible Canon iP1900 ink cartridges which can replace the genuine cartridge numbers and act as cheaper alternatives to the Canon cartridges. Any of the ink cartridges listed on this page will work reliably in your Canon Pixma iP1900 inkjet printer in place of the cartridges you're currently using.

Canon Pixma iP1900 Printer Review

Expert review of the Canon Pixma iP1900 printer 28 February 2014

Our Verdict:

The Canon iP1900 inkjet printer is a budget inkjet that is perfect for light home use. Despite its price, the print quality is fantastic. Speed is a slight issue but if you are only using it at home then this shouldn't be a problem. Lack of Wi-Fi and memory card support may also put off those who are looking to bypass the computer and print directly.

Design

The printer is fairly compact and the matte-black finish looks stylish. The rear paper tray which holds 100 sheets can be folded down, to save on space when you're not printing. Disappointingly, there's no paper output tray, leaving the paper to fall directly onto the desk or on the floor – not ideal! There are just two buttons on the printer, one that controls the power and the other to manage paper jams. The USB port that connects to your computer is located on the side of the printer and the power supply is at the rear. Replacing the Canon iP1900 ink cartridges is simple and takes a matter of seconds.

Advantages

The Canon PIXMA iP1900 ink printer comes with an impressive software package including Auto Photo Fix, which turns your amateur snaps into professional looking prints. Print output is of a high quality and is partly due to the fact that Canon uses the same print engine across the whole range. Photo prints are clear and coloured graphics appear vibrant with no signs of banding. Text documents are equally impressive and far exceeds expectations for a budget printer.

Disadvantages

Canon's quoted print speed is slightly optimistic; expect speeds of around 9ppm for black print and 7ppm for colour. This is fairly slow, but if you are only using the printer for low volumes then it should suffice. As with any printer, a lack of Wi-Fi is disappointing but hardly surprising considering the cost, it would have also been nice to see extra menu functionality on the printer itself.
