Our Verdict:
Designed with home and personal use in mind, the Dell All In One 964 is adequate for copying and scanning needs. It can also be used as a fax machine and offers direct printing through memory card slots and the PictBridge port. Fax resolution is 300 x 300 dpi while printing resolution is 1200 x4800 dpi. The trouble with the Dell All In One 964 is that photo quality is average and printing speed is slow.
Design
The modern Dell All In One 964 comes in a dark grey colour and features a 2.5 inch colour LCD display. It has a flatbed scanner on top and also features an automatic document feeder. The control panel has easy-to-use buttons and a numeric keypad. The memory card slots are located beside the output tray.
Advantages
Users can print directly from their digital cameras with the PictBridge connector; there are also several card slots that support a number of media storage devices. With the Dell All In One 964, previewing photos can be done through the LCD. The Dell 964 printer can help save time with the automatic document feeder, which can handle 50 sheets.
Disadvantages
Though the quality of coloured prints and photos is decent, the black and white text prints are sub-par. Aside from its slow printing speed, the Dell All In One 964 lacks a duplexer, making it a bad choice for offices requiring fast-paced printing.
