Epson XP-405 cost-per-photo see 1 answer

Using an XP-405 printer, what would be the cost of an A4 full colour print using high capacity cartridges please?
  • Epson only provide a page yield for XP-405 ink cartridges which is based on printing at 5% coverage of an A4 page. Unfortunately, we're unable to calculate the cost of a full A4 sheet for you.

Genuine Epson XP-405 inks? see 1 answer

Are these genuine Epson XP405 ink cartridges?
  • We sell both genuine and compatible ink cartridges for the Epson Expression Home XP-405 printer. To distinguish between them is fairly straightforward. Any item listed as "Genuine" and has the official EPSON logo is a brand new and original Epson XP-405 ink cartridge. Any item listed as "Premium brand" is made by a third-party manufacturer and is a non-genuine cartridge. You'll also notice that the images for original Epson XP-405 ink show the official Epson Daisy packaging as opposed to the compatible XP-405 cartridge images which have no Epson branding.

Capacity of compatible XP-405 ink cartridges see 1 answer

For the Epson XP-405 cartridges, can you please tell me what capacity in ml these are please? The number of pages is not much use to me. • The pack you're referring to is the compatible Epson XP-405 ink cartridges. The ink capacity of our compatible Epson T1816 cartridges for the XP-405 printer is the same as the gneuin cartridges as follows: Black: 11.5ml Cyan: 6.6ml Magenta: 6.6ml Yellow: 6.6ml

Epson XP-405 cartridge compatibility see 1 answer

I bought an XP-405 printer and also bought spare ink cartridges but they don't appear to be the correct ones. I have the T1285 multipack - are they the wrong ones?
  • Unfortunately, the Epson T1285 multipack cartridges aren't compatible with the Epson Expression Home XP-405 printer. The only cartridges designed for use in the Epson XP-405 printer are listed on this page and the multipack part numbers are T1806 or T1816. Epson XP-405 multipack purchase see 1 answer

I've just bought an Epson XP405 printer. Which multipack of ink do I buy? Thanks.
  • This will depend on your printing budget and how many pages you're likely to print. We currently sell three different multipacks for the Epson XP-405 printer. Two of these multipacks contain high capacity 18XL ink cartridges so if you print regularly and want cartridges that last longer then you should buy a high capacity 18XL ink multipack. The only difference between the high capacity multipacks is that one set contains genuine Epson 18XL ink cartridges whereas the other set contains premium brand compatible Epson 18XL ink cartridges which are cheaper because they're made by a third-party manufacturer rather than Epson. We also have a genuine Epson 18 ink multipack which contains all four colours in standard capacity cartridges. Please click on the links below to see each of these items in order for you to decide which one you'd like to purchase:

Epson XP-405 Printer Review

Expert review of the Epson XP-405 printer 13 November, 2012

Our Verdict:

A part of in the manufacturer’s small-in-one range, the Epson Expression Home XP-405 small-in-one is an ideal home printer capable of scanning, and copying while keeping low running costs. It offers crisp and high-quality prints at 33 ppm, while the scanner can save images with up to 1200 dpi resolution. Digital copies can be made at about the same rate and with the same quality. The Epson XP-405 even offers WiFi printing and with its colour touch panel, navigating printer menus has never been easier. However, this model is only suitable for low-volume printing and it lacks fax capabilities.

The Epson XP-405 touch panel small-in-one with Wi-Fi has the same design as the previous XP small-in-one models. It has an inkjet engine that uses individual ink tanks, ensuring cost-effective maintenance and less printing waste. The Epson XP405 Expression Home printer even has memory card support in addition to its USB and WiFi connectivity. The Epson XP405 is designed for mobile printing as well as for cloud and WiFi printing, ideal for home users who love printing photos direct from their smartphones and other compatible WiFi devices.

The best qualities of the Epson XP-405 multifunction printer include its large touch panel LCD screen, space-saving design, PC-free printing capabilities, built-in WiFi and high-resolution prints. Additionally, the XP-405 printer uses long lasting Claria Home Ink, which is manufactured exclusively by Epson to produce significantly clearer, crisper, and generally more vivid prints than other inkjets. Consequently, the XP405 delivers superior quality photo prints.

Still, other users may find the Epson XP-405 lacking because of its incapability to support fax functions. The Expression Home XP-405 inkjet printer is also not designed for high-volume printing as it only has low paper input capacity, but it does support a wide variety of media.
