With dimensions of 19.92 x 18.26 x 8.31 in and weighing 20.72 lb, the HP 1200dtn has an attractive shape that is an improvement on the traditional breadbox design, and its white accent panels add a modernist look. Its print speed of 28 ppm for monochrome printing and 24 ppm for colour printing are more than adequate for most small office purposes, and the printer is equipped with USB 2 ports for easy connectivity. The A4 printer tray holds up to 150 pages, and as well as presentations, charts and spreadsheets, the HP 1200dtn handles colour photos with equal facility.

Advantages

Advantages of the HP Business Inkjet 1200dtn include its excellent quality of print, fast printing of a range of text types, the built-in duplexer which saves on paper and the unit’s intuitive design. It has lower operating costs than many comparable inkjet printers in the range, and its dimensions and weight make it easy to move around an office space and fit it where necessary.

Disadvantages

The main drawback of this machine is that it prints shockingly poor quality photos at normal settings, though the quality increases at higher settings. It must be remembered that this is a budget printer, and that although ideal for small workgroups and offices its colour capabilities are limited.
