HP Deskjet D2563 ink cartridges 

A simple no-nonsense printer, the HP Deskjet D2563 is ideal for home offices and for personal use. It is a low cost solution offering delivering superior quality documents. While it is not a photo printer, it allows borderless printing and boasts decent resolution. There are some compatibility issues to consider.

Design

The HP Deskjet D2563 weighs just a little over 6 lbs and is one of the most compact printers around. It has an 80-sheet paper tray and an output tray capable of 50 sheets. The duty cycle is 1,000 pages per month.

Advantages

For a low cost printer, the HP Deskjet D2563 has an impressive printer life of 20,000 pages. It can print up to maximum of 4800 x 1200 dpi and a speed of 26 ppm for black text (on plain paper). Replacement ink cartridges are cheaper than most and tend to last longer compared to competitors.

Disadvantages

With the affordable price come a few issues. The HP Deskjet D2563 is compatible with both PC and Macintosh systems, but installing and set up is difficult. Don’t’ expect the HP Deskjet D2563 to deliver superb photo prints, because it is designed for basic documents and text.
