Our Verdict:  

HP Deskjet F4283 ink cartridges 

A basic but reliable printer, scanner, and copier, HP's DeskJet F4283 is a decent all-in-one, but is not very much different from other models in the F4000 series. It boasts print speeds of up to 26ppm for black drafts and 20ppm for colour drafts. Photo resolution is 4800x1200 dpi. The DeskJet F4283’s scanner boasts a 1200x2400 dpi resolution. With only USB as standard connection, it may not be the most versatile choice.

Design

The DeskJet F4283 still uses the same HP Thermal Inkjet print technology, which utilizes dye-based colour inks and pigment-based blacks. This Energy Star rated machine features the same flatbed scanner and intuitive control panel as the older versions. The DeskJet F4283 features USB as standard connection, and has a 16MB memory.

Advantages

The DeskJet F4283 is a reliable home or small office device with a monthly duty cycle of 3,000 pages. Colour photos in draft quality come out in as little as 29 seconds. Images can be scaled from 25% to 200%.

Disadvantages

An older model, the DeskJet F4283 still does not have wireless set up or even fax capabilities. It is a straightforward home / personal printer that can also be used for basic small office functions.
