  • What's the difference between normal HP Copier 310 cartridges and XL cartridges for the Digital Copier 310?

XL cartridges for HP Digital 310 Copier

The only difference between standard and XL cartridges for the HP Digital Copier 310 is the amount of ink they contain. For example, the standard capacity HP 15 black cartridge can print up to 310 pages whereas the high capacity HP 15XL black cartrudge can print up to 500 pages and is more economical to use.

HP Digital Copier 310 Printer Review

Expert review of the HP Digital Copier 310 printer 07 September 2012

Our Verdict:

The HP Digital Copier 310 is a high-resolution device that promises photo quality colour output and sharp text documents. Unlike copiers from other brands, the Digital Copier 310 inkjet printer is compact and versatile enough to handle different sizes of media, making it easy to instantly reproduce posters and wallet-sized prints. Some users complain about slow speeds from the HP Digital Copier 310 printer as well as limited warranty and support.

Design

The standalone device resembles a box-type inkjet multifunction printer that measures 10.7 inches tall, 14.1 inches deep, and 17.8 inches wide, but it is actually an 8.61kg digital copier. On top lies the flatbed scanner, right beside the minimal control panel with a small but angled LCD display for easy viewing and navigation. The bottom part of the HP 310 Digital Copier printer is home to a 150-sheet capacity paper feeder and a 50-sheet output tray.

Advantages

The HP 310 Digital Copier is a compact device and a good addition to a small office that needs a sturdy colour copier. The HP Digital Copier 310 is fairly quick to make copies, with speeds at up to 12ppm in monochrome and 9ppm in colour. Users can duplicate up to 99 copies from the original document or image using the HP Digital Copier 310, and they can use the printer for iron-on transfers and transparencies, too.

Disadvantages

The HP Digital Copier 310 printer is prone to some problems, including paper feed errors and paper jams. Since it uses an inefficient ink system, the HP 310 Copier can become expensive to operate in the long-run. Some users may find it too heavy to lift and transport.
