The Dell 1720 laser monochrome printer is an affordable option for personal users or small offices that need fast printing with quality results. Top end printing speeds reach up to 30 pages per minute while the Dell 1720 toner cartridges are offered in both standard and high-capacity models. Standard Dell 1720 toner cartridge life is around 3,000 pages while the high-capacity Dell 1720 cartridges yield about twice as many. Printing resolution can be configured to an impressive 1200 x 1200 dpi and USB / IEEE 1284-B ports allow convenient system compatibility. The Dell 1720 has a maximum monthly duty cycle of around 25,000 pages and a maximum paper input capacity of 800 sheets.

Design

Dell's 1720 laster printer weighs in at just over 11 kg. The charcoal grey colour of this very professional, business-oriented printer helps to reduce the staining that often occurs on machines with lighter colours. A simplistic LED display panel serves to alert the user of problems like paper jams while the printer's primary interface consists of only a continue and cancel button. A slot just above the paper tray serves as a manual feed input where the user can feed single sheets of media. The Dell 1720 toner cartridge replacement panel is easily accessible and simple to use.
