Known for fast and easy colour document production, the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M855xh printer is perfect for busy and growing workgroups that would like to increase productivity and minimise downtime. The HP LaserJet M855xh colour laser printer is easily upgradable while ensuring user-friendly operation and lower running costs, but it has several disadvantages, including a high initial price, pricey upgrades, and mediocre colour output.

Design

The Color Laserjet Enterprise M855xh workgroup printer may resemble the other printers from the M855x line but differs with the integration of a 320GB secure hard disk drive. It's also heavier than its counterparts, weighing 122.47Kg. The HP M855xh laser printer measures 704mm wide, 1063mm tall and 635mm deep. The device is powered by an 800MHz processor and runs on 1GB of memory. There are five paper trays and an output bin that can handle 500 sheets. The operator panel is a 4.3-inch touch-screen. Connectivity options for the HP M855xh colour printer include Gigabit Ethernet, high-speed USB 2.0, a hardware integration pocket, and internal USB hosts.

Advantages

Mobile and duplex printing are supported. The HP Colour Laserjet M-855xh is easily expandable with finishing options and wireless printing capabilities. Usage and monitoring are efficiently controlled and managed through the printing security centre and HP Web Jetadmin. The built-in hard drive adds security to sensitive data. Text documents are produced fast in up to 46ppm in speed, and in sharp, consistent detail because of the 1200x1200dpi resolution. Users can print directly on the HP M855xh Color Laserjet Enterprise printer from their USB flash drive. Productivity is boosted by the high-yield HP M855xh toner cartridges which print up to 29,500 pages in black or 31,500 pages per colour.

Disadvantages

Like most laser printers, the HP LaserJet Enterprise M855xh is not the best at producing images. Some users might find the touch-screen panel small. This colour printer is already expensive, but users may have to spend more if they want to use the HP wireless direct printing accessory. There are no options to expand the memory of the Hewlett Packard M855xh colour laser printer.
