HP Laserjet 5100 toner cartridges 

The HP LaserJet 5100 is a productive printer that can meet the demands of a small business or a home office that requires speeds of up to 22 pages per minute in black and white. This printer is a laser monochrome tool that can create clear documents that have resolutions of up to 1,200 dpi by 1,200 dpi. This printer connects using a parallel connection that makes setup quick and easy. During operation, this printer also operates at a sound level of up to 60 decibels.

Design

This isn't a bad looking printer that is designed to be simple and comes in a white enclosure. It is an average-size machine that has dimensions of 47.49 cm in width, 57.91 cm in depth, and 47.24 cm in height. The HP 5100 is no lightweight printer and comes in a stout weight of 22.99 kg. It makes use of a 300 MHz processor and 16 MB of memory to easily print incoming documents. This printer was also designed to pump out an amazing 65,000 pages per month. In addition, HP 5100 toner is designed with Ultraprecise technology to create perfect prints.

Advantages

The HP LaserJet 5100 has optional duplex printing available and is a great feature for anyone who wishes to reduce paper waste. In addition, duplex printing allows users to create documents that are printed on both sides. Another benefit that the HP LaserJet 5100 offers is the ability to print on cards, recycled paper, vellum paper, labels, plain paper, envelopes, bond paper, and transparencies. This printer also gives you the privilege to upgrade to 192 MB of RAM using 3 available memory expansion slots that are found on the printer. The HP 5100 toner printer is able to use only 330 watts for printing and reduces power use to only 30 watts during sleep mode.

Disadvantages

It does not come with any hardware to make it network capable. This may be a problem if a user wishes to use this printer for multiple computers. This printer also lacks a fax machine, scanner, or copier and may not be the right choice for a user who desires multi-functionality.
