Our Verdict:  

Konica Minolta Bizhub C10 toner cartridges 

The Bizhub C10 printer is Konica Minolta's most basic model for home and small office printing and faxing. This Japanese company has been around for over 100 years, but it wasn't until recently that they entered into the printer sector. While a majority of their printers are built for medium to large businesses and an extremely high volume, the Bizhub C10 is a much more modest model made for a small office or home workspace.

Design

Weighing in at 19kg and just over 39 cm at its widest point, the Bizhub C10 is quite large compared to other personal use printers, but nowhere near the size of a medium or heavy volume office printer. The input and output trays, located on the front and top respectively, can hold 200 pages a piece. There is very basic LCD display and a few navigational buttons on top to deal with jams, faxing, and other functions. This laser printer produces 600 x 600 dpi in both black and colour. There are optional trays which can be attached to accommodate for plain paper, glossy pictures, matte prints, and envelopes. The Konica Minolta C10 toner cartridges are easily accessed through a quick-release hatch and there are upgrade options for increased sorting and paper trays.

Advantages

The Bizhub C10 exceeds the specs of almost any personal, multi-function printer on the market. It can print out at just over 20 pages per minute in black and white and can scan unique monochrome pages at 4 seconds per page. The software supports nearly every operating system, including Linux, and can be attached to any other computer via an ethernet cord or high speed USB cable. All forms of unique functions, such as group faxing and a port for directly connecting to digital cameras, mean that there are very few things that the C10 cannot do.

Disadvantages

One of the major cons of this printer comes down to colour options. There can be nearly a 20 second delay for the original colour photo to print and the 20 page per minute speed slows down to nearly 4 colour prints per minute. There are four Konica Minolta C10 toner slots which may need to be changed frequently if colour and graphics are used often. This all in one laser printer will fulfil every need that a home or small office will need, but not much beyond that.
