The Konica Minolta Fax 1600 or Konica Minolta 1600F is an all-in-one monochrome laser printer with Ethernet and USB 2.0 connections. It takes 21 seconds to heat up and then prints 16 pages per minute at 600 x 600 dpi. It serves as both a sheet-fed and flatbed copier and scanner, and it performs both operations in either configuration at the same rate and quality that it prints. The machine also provides a full range of fax and PC-fax functionality. In its default design, the 1600 has a 100 MHz processor and 96 MB of memory; it uses 340 watts and creates noise at the 52 dB level.

Design

Konica Minolta uses a simple but attractive and effective design: a modern cube with rounded edges and a top section that is wider than its tall base. The colour scheme is off-white and light grey with blue accents, such as on the logo and output tray. The output tray juts upward, so it does not get in the way or take up unnecessary space. Konica Minolta has positioned the keyboard at the face of the device, and although connected, they have set it apart. This design has its pros and cons; it is quite easy to use but it makes the machine a tad longer than it needs to be. Advantages
