HP Deskjet 1220c ps ink cartridges 

Users looking for a wide-format device should consider the HP DeskJet 1220c ps, which is known for its ability to print on a variety of media types and sizes and producing vivid and true-to-life colours. This midrange printer is praised for its excellent graphics and photo output. However, quality significantly declines when printing black text on plain paper.


Design

Integrated with an 8MB RAM, the HP DeskJet 1220c ps is fairly fast at 11 ppm in monochrome and 9.5 ppm in colour. Because it is a desktop device, it is rather compact at 15 inches deep and 9.2 inches tall, but is 23.3 inches wide (it is a wide-format printer, after all). The entire device weighs 22 pounds. The best thing about this printer is that it is a plug-and-play device; you can use it on any computer without worrying about installation.

Advantages

This device is a winner in terms of graphics and photo printing. When working, the HP DeskJet 1220c ps only emits 47dBA of sound, making it one of the quieter inkjet printers around. The standard media feeder has an autoload function and can handle 150 sheets at a time. Wide-format printing is also supported by the HP DeskJet 1220c ps, so you can print bigger greeting cards, envelopes, transparencies, and iron-on transfers.

Disadvantages

The HP DeskJet 1220c ps is at its best when printing on speciality paper; when you try to use plain paper, the print quality deteriorates. It also highly relies on a USB or parallel interface, and does not have wireless capabilities. HP should also give the HP DeskJet 1220c ps better warranty options and coverage on parts and labour.
