If you want a second printer that is fast and don’t mind it being mono only, (indeed this bringing the cost per page figure down), the Canon i-Sensys MF512x is worth a look.
Design
Canon answered critics of some of their models having lower than average print speeds with the MF512x. At 40 pages per minute single sided and 20 double sided pages in the same time.
Canon often presents many accessories alongside their printers and the Canon i-Sensys MF-512x is no different. Accessories include a 500 sheet paper tray, card readers, barcode printing kits and a pedestal stand for you to spend your money on.
Advantages
The iSensys MF512x features duplex printing, double sided scans and photocopies. Security is handled with Secure PIN printing and IPsec for safe wireless printing.
Canon boasts that the intuitive 8.9 touch screen makes the MF512x simple to use for any skill level. This is your first stop for scanning and USB printing.
Disadvantages
