Black toner for HP LaserJet 1100 see 1 answer

I have an old HP LaserJet 1100 that I just took out of storage. With updated drivers, it did print my pages but light (so needs new toner). My question is that on every page there is a line that only partially printed. It seems to alternate 2 locations on alternating pages. Would this be fixed simply with a new toner cartridge or is there a bigger problem, for which I should just dump the printer? Also, I live in the US. Do you ship there and what is the conversion to US dollars? Thanks, Jeff Korn

  • Please try removing the toners and wiping the roller inside, if the problem disappears and then reappears after a few prints it would appear to be the toner. If after cleaning the roller the problem is the same it may be another part of the printer that is proving to be worn or faulty.

HP Laserjet 1100 toner cartridges 

The HP LaserJet 1100 is a great personal printer for the home and or small office and can be used for printing text, labels, or even transparencies. This monochrome laser printer can be also used to fax documents and scan with one press of a button. It has a maximum print speed of 8 minutes per page and can print with a maximum resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. The HP 1100 has a Motorola MCF5202 35.0 MHz processor and has 18 MB of RAM. It has a max paper capacity of 125 sheets and can print 2,500 pages per cartridge of toner. This printer is quite energy efficient and only uses 170 watts of energy when fully operational.

Design

The HP LaserJet 1100 is a sturdy printer that is built with space in mind. The simple design does not take up much space and is taller than it is deep. It can be placed on a bookshelf or any where that you can spare the 14.5" by 15.8" dimensions. This HP printer was designed for the small office or home that does not need to print out colour documents. The function buttons are laid out on the top and are relatively easy to use.

Advantages

One of the pros of this printer is its reliability and ease of setup. It is a great long-lasting printer that is very easy to use and will not need to be sent off for repairs. Its software interface easily integrates into a computer and printing can be set up within minutes.
