I bought a compatible toner cartridge for my EPL 6200, but it does not work. I see that the connecting chip is different from the chip on the original cartridge. Can I be sure that your compatible cartridges will work? see 1 answer

Our Verdict:  

Epson EPL-6200 toner cartridges 

The Epson EPL-6200L is an excellent workgroup printer that is suitable for the small business or home office setting. It is a laser monochrome printer that is able to print up to 20 pages per minute and can produce a maximum resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. This printer also has a month duty cycle of 15,000 pages. In addition, the Epson EPL-6200L uses Epson RITech to enhance images and reproduce colours. To handle print information, the Epson EPL-6200L employs a 48 MHz processor and uses 2 MB of RAM. Memory is provided by high-tech SDRAM technology.

Design

This printer is designed with simplicity in mind. It has dimensions of 38.60 cm in width, 26.16 cm in depth, and a height of 27.94 cm. It has a weight of 6.21 kilograms without paper and is very portable. It is equipped with one media feeder that has a maximum capacity of 150 sheets of paper. The feeder is located in the front and the output tray is located on top. Installation is a breeze with its USB interface and only requires you to insert an installation disk. You can also quickly replace empty Epson EPL-6200 toner.

Advantages

One of the advantages to this printer is its ability to print on multiple forms of media which include plain paper, envelopes, and transparencies. This printer is very affordable to buy and Epson EPL-6200 toner cartridge replacements are inexpensive to stock up on. This printer operates with 825 watts of energy and during standby this figure drops down to 48 watts. You can use the printer with a variety of operation systems including Windows 95, Windows 98, Mac OS, and Mac OS X.

Disadvantages

The downside to this printer is its lack of fax, scanner, or copier. Another disadvantage is that it is not capable of being a central printer for a network of computers. There are also no memory expansion slots to upgrade memory. When you purchase this printer, you will only receive a starter Epson EPL-6200 toner cartridge that allows you to print 1,500 pages, but when you purchase a new cartridge it will be able to print 3,000 or 6,000 pages.
