My new toner cartridge is leaking yellow!! see 1 answer

Just bought a brand new HP Color LaserJet CP2025n, which came with a set of ink/toner cartridges. The yellow one is leaking all over the printer. I am a writer but cannot print because it all looks yellow. What to do? I looked at what you have and guess I have to buy a new one but I am afraid it will happen again.... Is leaking common? And can I buy the yellow from you only?? Appreciate any feedback you can give me! Thanks, Cecilie

Our Verdict:  

HP Colour Laserjet CP2025n toner cartridges 

The HP Colour LaserJet CP2025n was developed with the small work group or business with a big budget in mind. This mid-range printer is the result of Hewlett-Packard attempting to bridge the gap between size, quality prints in black, and speed. For its size and price the CP2025n does maintains some great controls and streamlined user options that make operating this printer a breeze. On the opposite end of the spectrum, there are a few blaring features that any printer in this range should have that the CP2025n does not include.

Design

With all the drawers tucked away this printer is 63 cm long, just over 30 cm tall, and 38 cm wide. Weighing in at a hefty 22.6 kg, the CP2025n will definitely need a permanent place to be stationed. The display and controls are simple enough with a small LCD screen as well as a few switches for power and jamming options. The main output tray is housed at the bottom of the printer and can hold upwards of 250 sheets while there is a separate auxiliary tray for up to 50 sheets of oddly-shaped media types. Just inside this same hatch houses the four HP CP2025n toner cartridges. All of the connections, including the USB and Ethernet ports, are located on the back next to the power cable.

Advantages

This particular HP printer was built for quality rather than speed. When compared to similarly priced printers, it is quite average for both colour and black text prints. Luckily, the graphics, colouring, and shading are much better than nearly any other printer in this range. HP's software and support line is well beyond the competition as well. Even running nearly 2 dozen computers with varying operating systems on this printer is no problem and almost every operation can be executed on any computer in the system with a single click. It's very easy to swap out a used HP CP2025n toner thanks to HP's design.

Disadvantages

For a printer of this price and quality, no viable wireless connection can be troublesome for larger office environments. The only other problem comes down to the speed of prints. Even with plain black text, the CP2025n can sometimes run as slow as 12 pages per minute which means that any office which is in search of quantity over quality may need to look elsewhere.
