The ideal choice for workgroups looking for an all around workhorse that can print, copy, scan and fax, the Canon IR-2800 printer offers all the features of a powerful multifunction, not to mention its ability to handle large-format documents. The Canon ImageRUNNER ADVANCE IR-2800 is best used as a dedicated printer, since it cannot print in colour, though its additional features more than make up for its lack of colour capability, especially for offices that do not have much use for a colour printer. The IR2800 multifunctional digital system has network connectivity and it can print faster than previous Image Runner models, though its print average is still not as impressive at 28 ppm.
Design
With its robust dimensions (40.2x22.25x.6.75), the Canon IR-2800 ImageRUNNER ADVANCE office black and white printer is not the most compact multifunction, though it is still a manageable size. The ImageRUNNER 2800 is more suitable for larger offices, especially with its maximum duty cycle of up to 100,000 pages per month. The Canon IR-2800 boasts good connective options, including Ethernet and parallel ports. Its standard RAM is only 128 MB, but it comes with a 5.1 GB hard disk.
Advantages
The Canon IR-2800 mono laser printer boasts an improved printing rate. It delivers as many as 28 ppm, which is much faster than previous IR models. The Canon IR2800 laser printer features an ADF for easier document handling and can process a wide variety of print media, including A3 paper. Copies can be enlarged up to eight times or reduced to 25 percent of the original size. Duplex printing is also offered. This multifunction printer can use a recycled Canon IR2800 toner cartridge which can replace the genuine Canon C-EXV3 cartridge in order to reduce running costs.
