Our Verdict:
If you're in the market for a budget friendly compact printer, the Oki B2200 features high quality black and white prints as fast as 21 pages per minute. It has a high print resolution processed by the high capacity Oki B2200 toner cartridge. Average Oki B2200 toner life is around 2,000 pages. Picture quality may lack in quality compared to similarly priced printers. Connectivity is achieved through a USB connection. The tray holds 150 pieces and needs to be refilled manually.
Design
The unit is small and lightweight with a top loading toner cartridge lid and a power button on the front. The B2200 is small enough to fit on the edge of your desk and allow for ample working room and easy relocation is possible because of its light weight.
Advantages
Compact and light, this laser printer does a decent job at printing text and some black and white charts or graphs. There is a 1 year limited warranty and a 5 year limited warranty on the LED print head.
Disadvantages
Networking is not an option. Actual print times are significantly slower than the 21 pages per minute claimed. As far as printing images, the B2200 prints a small picture in about 20 seconds. The unit cannot print in colour, which means a lot of the content will be missing if you try to print web pages. These days, a colour printer is a must for printing off website content in order to view it in its entirety.
