An excellent addition to homes, the Wi-Fi ready Canon Pixma MG6850 is a multifunction inkjet printer. Taking up little space, this printer offers excellent features from photo printing to direct cloud scanning. To keep it compact, this model does not have an automatic document feeder nor upgradeable paper-handling capacity.

Design

The sleek, all-black Canon Pixma MG6850 comes with a flatbed scanner and a front-load paper tray. It also has a control panel with coloured touchscreen display. It features memory card slots and a USB port. This unit weighs 6.4kg and measures 455 x 369 x 148 mm.

Advantages

Designed for image printing, the Canon Pixma MG6850 offers borderless printing. Users can directly print from memory cards, thanks to the built in slots, as well as from digital cameras via WLAN PictBridge. With Wi-Fi connectivity, mobile printing and cloud printing is possible even direct Wi-Fi from PCs even without a networking system. The monochrome print speed of the Canon Pixma MG6850 is decent at 15ipm.

Disadvantages

This model delivers high-quality, detailed coloured prints and as such suffers slow coloured printing speed. The Canon Pixma MG6850 can only handle 100 plain sheets at a time. Faxing function is not offered, even as just an option. The scan speed of 19 seconds per A4 media can be a bit faster.
