HP LaserJet MFP M436nda Printer Review

Expert review of the HP LaserJet MFP M436nda printer

Our Verdict:

The HP LaserJet MFP M436nda is a multi-function laser printer that is capable of printing up to A3 size. The printer also has a copy and scan function. It will work well in a small office with a medium level of monochrome printing. With remote monitoring, it is possible to streamline tasks, which increases office efficiency. Duplex printing comes as standard, saving you money on paper costs and reducing wastage. If printing demands become higher, the paper capacity may not be sufficient, resulting in an increased amount of printer downtime. While this is an effective printer for monochrome printing, it has no capacity for colour printing and so is unlikely to be suitable for anywhere with a large demand for colour printing.

Design

The HP LaserJet MFP M436nda measures 560x583x505 mm and comes in an off-white colour that will complement any office colour scheme. The dpi is 1200 and the monthly duty cycle is 50,000 pages. The printer can be monitored and operated from the keypad on the front of the device, which includes a four-line LCD screen. Paper is stored in two trays, one holding 250 sheets and one holding 100 sheets. Connection is achieved via a USB or network interface.

Advantages

With automatic duplex printing, the HP LaserJet MFP M436nda offers considerable savings on paper. Remote monitoring allows efficient management of the printer’s operations. A reversing automatic document feeder captures both sides of the page with ease. This is a sturdy device with minimal maintenance needed. It can take care of all your monochrome printing and copying up to A3 size.

Disadvantages

As a monochrome printer only, the HP M436nda may not fulfil all printing needs, particularly if you print a lot of graphics. There is no fax function. Paper capacity is on the low side and cannot be expanded.
