The Lexmark M521 printer is a robust mono laser printer that effectively supports the everyday tasks of mid-sized workgroups, with an average 44 page per minute output, in-built durability and enhanced security. This 1-GHz dual core processor is designed to work in a variety of workplaces, whether it be an office, warehouse or showroom. It has 512MB of memory, with an input capacity of 350 sheets, which can expand to 2,000. Lexmark’s security features help keep all information safe, whether it be over the network, on a device or in the document itself, which is why Lexmark were awarded a BLI PaceSetter award for Document Imaging Security by Keypoint Intelligence, Buyers Lab. Its also simple to monitor and configure system information through a colour LCD, and the Lexmark M521dn can use media sizes from A6 to legal via a paper tray, while envelopes and other smaller paper can be handled through the multipurpose feeder.

Design

The Lexmark M521dn has a durable metal frame that is designed for optimum longevity. Its dimensions are 260mm x 300mm x 374 mm (height x width x depth) and it has a noise level while idle of 14dB(A) and 56dB(A) while printing.

Advantages

This Lexmark M521dn offers high quality two-sided printing at an affordable price, while its long life-components keep maintenance costs low. The energy management features help to reduce its consumption of power both in sleep and active mode. It is rated EPEAT Silver and is ENERGY STAR certified. It’s also possible to recycle used Lexmark M521dn toner through Lexmark’s award-winning Cartridge Collection Programme (LCCP). The device is Windows 10 compatible, has 1200 x 1200 dpi printing resolution and has both USB and network interfaces.

Disadvantages

The Lexmark M521dn is an excellent mono laser printer for everyday work, but it is less suitable for workgroups looking for more flexible and creative output.
