With an understated look, the Canon Pixma iP1300 fits perfectly into a dorm room or a home office that needs a basic yet speedy printer for documents, pictures, and homework. It promises high-resolution photo lab quality printouts and a user-friendly interface, yet the Pixma iP1300 is expensive to run and actual output is not that impressive.
Design
The Canon Pixma iP1300 is a standard desktop inkjet printer with an understated design, lacking an actual control panel on-board and merely striking with its paper feed located at the back. It does not have an actual paper output tray, which can be a hassle at times, and it does not come with a black ink cartridge upon initial purchase. The 2.9kg device can be connected to a PC via USB 2.0.
Advantages
The form factor and size of the Canon Pixma iP1300 is excellent for a small desktop. Borderless printing is supported, and the printouts last long because of the ChromaLlife100 system, which is integrated into Canon's ink cartridges. A user-friendly software is included in the package. The Canon Pixma iP1300 is also praised for affordability.
Disadvantages
Despite low initial costs, the Canon Pixma iP1300 is expensive to maintain because of the pricey ink cartridges.
