The Epson SureColor SCP5000 STD Spectro is a precision colour printer capable of faithfully reproducing both photography and art with a high degree of accuracy. It is easy to use and maintain.

Design

The sleek black tabletop design of the Epson SureColor SC-P5000 STD Spectro features soft, curved lines for a minimal aesthetic impact within the workspace. Weighing in at 52 kilograms, this unit will need some thought to be put into placement to ensure safe operations in spite of its relatively compact dimensions of 863 millimetres wide by 766 millimetres deep by 406 millimetres high. The unit is designed with ease of use and maintenance in mind, with the addition of guards and seals to minimise the risk of dust entering the print area and compromising print quality.

Advantages

Buyers opting for the Epson SCP5000 STD Spectro can choose a Violet HDX inkset that allows for the authentic reproduction of up to 99 per cent of the Pantone colour spectrum, while the LLK inkset is well suited to the reproduction of art colours as well as achieving up to 98 per cent accuracy in the Pantone spectrum. The machine is capable of creating high-resolution prints up to 2,880 x 1,440 dots per inch (dpi) and the 3.5-pl droplet size helps ensure crisp, clear colour results with no loss of detail. Used as recommended by the manufacturer, the printer can also offer prints with improved light-fast qualities – perfect for fine art and photography uses. The Epson SC-P5000 STD Spectro is an easy-to-use model with fast set-up options and easy-to-follow user guides. The unit is designed to allow the user to easily carry out day-to-day maintenance to keep operation costs low.

Disadvantages

Despite its tabletop design, the Epson SureColor P5000 STD Spectro’s weight means that consideration will need to be given to placement to ensure safe operation. Ink demands for top-quality colour reproduction can be high, so this model is best suited to environments where faithful colour reproduction is important.
