HP Photosmart 2610xi Ink Cartridges

Design

The HP Photosmart 2610xi is part of the 2600 All-in-One line. All controls are located on top of the printer to your right. The control panel's focal point is the LCD screen that juts out of the body. It is about 8.5 kilograms in weight. With a depth of 37.2 cm, the HP Photosmart 2610xi is relatively compact. It uses inkjet printing technology and requires 2 ink cartridges; there is an option to use special inks (like the grey and photo inkjet print cartridges) to match specific print jobs.

Advantages

This printer is wired via Ethernet, so it is great for a small network of computers. It uses USB 1.0 and 2.0, and further connectivity is provided with the HP bt300 Bluetooth Wireless Printer Adapter. The fax machine, copier, and printer can produce up to 30 ppm in monochrome. The scanner boasts a standard 2400x4800 dpi resolution, which can be enhanced to 192000 dpi using software that comes with the HP Photosmart 2610xi. Although HP is not selling this printer any more, supplies and accessories are still easy to find. The HP Photosmart 2610xi also supports various memory cards.

Disadvantages

The HP Photosmart 2610xi is incompatible with newer Windows and Macintosh operating systems – specifically those made after XP and Macintosh OS X. Installation takes a lot of time because of the graphics editing software, which may be unnecessary if you already have your own image software.
