The sleek and portable Brother PT-1080 printer is a versatile labelling machine ideal for home or office use. This reliable P-Touch 1080 label maker machine can deliver durable labels with self-adhesives that can cope with sunshine, cold, heat, water, abrasion and chemicals. It may have a large LCD display but it only has 1 line for characters.
Design
The slim design of the Brother PT-1080 handheld labeller makes it easy to handle with even just one hand. It measures 108 x 209 x 58mm and weighs a mere 215 grams. The Brother PT-1080 comes with an integrated cutter and a 1-line 12-character LCD display. Navigation and function buttons are separated from the main keypad, which has 1 to 0 and ABC characters. In total, the Brother P-Touch PT1080 label printer has 178 symbols and 209 signs. The tape cassette at the back can handle 30-300mm long labels.
Advantages
The print resolution of the Brother PT1080 labeller is 180dpi and it can deliver at 10mm per second. This labelling machine can print 2 lines on 1 tape and it can handle 4 tape sizes. What’s more, it offers excellent features like 7 frameworks, 3 letter sizes, 8 print styles, 12 types of deco mode, cable tag function, vertical and horizontal printing and easy print time and date. When not in use for five minutes, the portable Brother PT 1080 P Touch label printer will automatically shut off. It’s memory can save up to 729 characters.
Disadvantages
The Brother PT1080 handheld labeller doesn't have an AC adapter as standard and this important accessory is only an optional extra. The P-Touch 1080 labelling machine would also benefit from a greater choice of fonts as Helsinki is the only one available.
