Aimed at small offices, this monochrome multifunction device has a compact build and ample paper capacity for basic document production needs. The Brother MFC-4650 all-in-one laser printer includes a fax machine, sheetfed scanner, and a 400dpi digital copier, and it is also includes a telephone handset, but it is slow and the expandability options are very limited.

Design

The Brother MFC-4650 multifunction printer measures 18 inches wide, 9.9 inches tall, and 13.2 inches deep, and it weighs 8.48Kg. It resembles an oversized fax machine with a 100-sheet autoload input tray, a telephone handset, and a busy control panel with a small monochrome display screen. The MFC-4650 mono laser printer runs on 2MB of RAM with parallel connectivity and an RJ-11 port.

Advantages

The straight paper path of the Brother MFC-4650 MFP printer prevents paper jam. Text documents are printed well in 600x600dpi. The fax machine is Hayes AT command set compliant and it is fairly fast in transmitting messages. The Brother MFC-4650 laser multifunction printer is also surprisingly quiet. The telephone handset makes it more useful for business correspondence, too. Running expenses decrease when installing compatible Brother MFC-4650 toners into this printer.

Disadvantages
