Design

The unit features a touchscreen control panel for easy operation, and the duplex feature is automatic. One input tray on the Lexmark XS955dhe can hold up to 520 sheets, and another can hold up to 2,520 sheets. The unit is designed to print onto a variety of different media types, including envelopes, labels and transparencies as well as paper. The dimensions of the unit are 64cm x 68.6cm x 113cm, which makes it a substantial piece of equipment.

Advantages

You can print directly from a USB flash drive and save documents directly to a flash drive as well as scan to email and network-connected devices. The maximum recommended monthly print volume is 33,000 pages, which is ideal for a large, very busy office. The time to produce the first print is just five seconds, making this one of the faster printers in the Lexmark range. Print resolution is 1200 x 1200 dpi, although this is lower for the other functions of the machine.

Disadvantages

Print speeds in colour are slower than those in black and white, which might be a problem for some offices. This is a very large machine as shown by the dimensions, and the weight is almost 159kg. It will take up quite a bit of space in the office, so the Lexmark XS955dhe is not very suitable for a small or home office.
