The only real difference between the PG-512 and CL-513 ink cartridges in this multipack compared to the PG-510 and CL-511 cartridges that are also listed under your printer is the capacity of ink in the cartridges. The Canon PG-512 and CL-513 are high capacity cartridges whereas the Canon PG-510 and CL-511 are standard capacity ink cartridges. If you print regularly you'll benefit from a cheaper cost-per-print using these high capacity PG512 and CL513 ink cartridges in your Pixma MP230 printer. You'll only be required to install one black and one tri-colour cartridge within the printer so you can choose whichever capacity is most suitable for you.

I have a Canon iP2700 printer. It has ink cartridges with numbers PG510 and CL511. I noticed that a second set of cartridges are listed with the part numbers, PG512 and CL513. Could you let me know if both sets will fit the same printer and what's the difference betweeen them? Kind regards, Simon.
Canon PG512 and CL513 compatibility
Both sets will fit your printer, the only difference is that the PG-512 and CL-513 cartridges contain more ink. The Canon Pixma iP2700 printer can use standard capacity cartridges or high capacity cartridges. The PG-512 and CL-513 cartridges (shown above) are exactly the same as the PG-510 and CL-511 cartridges you've been using except they contain a higher volume of ink. Therefore, you can use any combination of the PG-510, PG-512, CL-511, CL-513 cartridges in your Canon iP2700 printer as long as you have one black and one tri-colour cartridge installed in the correct slots.
