Compact and lightweight multifunction printers are all the rage among consumers looking for an all-in-one solution for their small or home office. Brother joined the bandwagon and produced the DCP-375CW, which is notable for its high-resolution printouts and Wi-Fi connectivity. However, the patchy print quality makes the Brother DCP-375CW a less tempting option when compared to the competition from Lexmark and Canon.

Design

The control panel layout and placement of the paper handling trays and scanner are similar to the predecessors of the Brother DCP-375CW, but this multifunction device stands out because of the sleek appearance. The Brother DCP-375CW wireless colour inkjet multifunction printer retains most of the features from previous models but boasts additional Wi-Fi connectivity. The print engine's maximum resolution is 6000x12000dpi, and ink cartridges consume up to 1.5picoliters of droplets. The Brother DCP-375CW inkjet printer runs on a 128MHz processor with 32MB of RAM.

Advantages

Users can share the Brother DCP-375CW all-in-one over a wireless network because of the standard Wi-Fi interface. Text prints look reasonable for an inkjet printer. There is a built-in card reader that supports xD and multimedia cards as well as memory stick, xD picture cards, and secure digital cards. The Brother DCP375CW multifunction printer is fairly quiet when in operation, emitting less than 50dBA of sound when printing.

Disadvantages

Printouts are unimpressive, with inconsistent colours even when the Brother DCP 375CW is configured to 'best' modes. The DCP-375CW colour printer is also slow, especially when printing large files. High costs per page make the Brother DCP-375CW expensive to operate.
