Our Verdict:

The Brother MFC-215C delivers good quality prints, scans, and copies and even offers fax. This multifunction printer is offered at a reasonable price. It has a maximum paper capacity of 100 pages and it has a USB port for connectivity. However, the Brother MFC-215C lacks several features including built-in networking and a PictBridge.

Design

The Brother MFC215C all-in-one inkjet printer is ideal for small homes and offices. It weighs 5.5 kg and has dimensions of 373 x 345 x 135 mm. The MFC-215C multifunction printer has a flatbed scanner that offers excellent colour scans and an inkjet printer located at the bottom of the unit. The control panel is easy to use on the Brother MFC-215C flatbed colour all-in-one printer and there is a built-in media reader available. Print speed is 15 ppm for coloured prints and 20 ppm for black and white prints.

Advantages

Print quality and speed are reasonable and the maximum print resolution is 1200 x 6000 dpi. With the photocapture centre, direct photo printing can be done with the Brother MFC215C thanks to the media card slots. The MFC 215C colour inkjet printer offers PC fax and even has a 'scan and translate' feature.

Disadvantages

The Brother MFC-215C multifunction printer is durable and reliable, but could have been made better with a PictBridge port and a coloured LCD display. Because it does not have a built-in Wi-Fi or Ethernet, the Brother MFC-215C cannot be shared in a workgroup.
