The Canon BJC 240 personal inkjet colour printer is ideal for producing top-notch output in the home or on the go. With a printing speed of up to 4 ppm for colour and 9 ppm for black and white, it is steady, workmanlike and reliable. It makes an excellent addition to any workplace or home that has only low volume, basic printing needs and does not require a printer that can deal with more complex documents or texts.
Design
The Canon BJC 240 is white and has dimensions of 14.2 x 8.5 x 6.8 inches and is very lightweight at 4.41 lbs, so it is easy to fit into smaller spaces or take with you for business trips, meaning that you don’t have to search for available printers when you are away.
Advantages
The Canon BJC 240 is ideal for straightforward printing on a range of media including envelopes, high-gloss film, thermal paper and plain paper in A4, legal and letter A size, up to a maximum of 8.25 x 11.7 inches, meaning that for a smaller machine, it has useful flexibility in its ability to print. It has a total capacity of 100 sheets and printing resolutions up to a maximum of 720 x 360 dpi for black and white and 360 dpi for colour printing.
Disadvantages
The Canon BJC 240 is a compact workhorse of a printer, aimed squarely at the home and small office printing market. It is ideal for anyone who has very basic printing requirements. However, its age means that its output speed is slow at 4 ppm for colour and it does not have any internet connectivity, so it can’t compete with more up to date models of a similar size that are aimed at the same market.
