This versatile printer is perfect for small offices or home office workers. Its multi-functionality means you can fax, copy, scan and print all from one relatively small machine without sacrificing anything on quality. While you won't get the speeds you pay for with a larger machine, you can expect a printer resolution of 600 x 1200 dpi. The printer also has automatic double sided printing, helping you cut down on paper usage and lower your environmental impact.

Design

The Canon MB5455 measures roughly 555 x 478 x 509mm and weighs approximately 12.8kg. It comes in a matte black finish, giving it a sleek, professional look and can happily sit on a desk top or sideboard and fit into even the smallest of home offices. There is an intuitive 8.8cm colour touch screen, 500 sheet feeder and 50 sheet document feeder, making it highly versatile and the perfect fit for smaller offices and home workers.

Advantages

The Canon MAXIFY MB5455's 50 sheet document feeder means you can print envelopes, labels, photos and even double sided ID cards. It is Windows and Mac compatible making it great for the modern office where workers often use a wide variety of devices. It's also completely connected to the cloud, with Apple AirPrint allowing you to print straight from your Apple devices, while users can also print from other cloud services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and OneNote. The printer can be used with high yield cartridges that produce up to 2,500 black and white pages, or 1,500 colour pages. There are also compatible cartridges available to use with this printer model, thereby helping you cut down on costs.

Disadvantages

While the Canon Maxify MB-5455 printer promises a variety of functions and high quality prints, it is a little on the slow side considering it is intended for office and business use. You can expect printing speeds of 16ppm when printing in colour or 24ppm when printing in monochrome.
