Canon MultiPass C600f Printer Review
Expert review of the Canon MultiPass C600f printer
The Canon MultiPass is a colour inkjet printer which also incorporates the ability to copy, scan and fax. With a straight forward set up and a clear, easy to use control panel, the printer is easy to use by all the family. The main use of this machine is as a photographic printer for a home or student, where holiday snaps can be brought vividly to life in bold, vibrant colours and to a standard you are sure to be pleased with. However, as print speeds are slow, if you are wanting to print a large number of photographs you will need to allow a considerable length of time and also factor in the time required for cartridge changes. The other functions of the printer work well but are also slow.
Design
The Canon MultiPass C600f has a sturdy, white casing with a blue control panel which includes a keypad and an LCD screen. On the top of the machine is a lid for ease of scanning, copying and faxing documents. Print speeds are 6 ppm and the printing resolution is 720 x 360 dpi. This Canon printer has a paper capacity of 100 pages. Connection is achieved using a USB interface.
Advantages
With four office machines incorporated into one desktop sized printer, the Canon MultiPass C600f is easy to find a place for when space is limited. Photographic printing reaches a high standard, with bold, vivid colours. The printer is straight forward to use, with a clear, easy to understand control panel.
Disadvantages
With slow printing speeds, the Canon MultiPass C600f makes photo printing a laborious task. Copying is even slower with a rate of just 3 ppm. With inefficient use of ink, frequent downtime is needed for cartridge changes. Auto duplex copying is not possible on this model.
