The Canon Pixma MG2455 uses Canon 8286B006 ink cartridges. Canon 8286B006 ink comes in tri-colour and in black; the tri-colour cartridge prints 300 pages and the black cartridge prints 400 pages.

The Canon Pixma MG2455 is a printer that is also capable of scanning and copying documents, making it a relatively powerful all-in-one device, suitable for a home office or medium-sized workplace environment. The machine prints in both mono and colour ink to a high resolution to create documents and images of an excellent quality. The A4 flatbed is easily accessible in order to place original documents, though the lid will need to be lifted each time as it does not have a document feeder.

Design

The Canon Pixma MG2455 has an unobtrusive design that ensures that it will fit in alongside other office equipment and décor. It measures 42.6 x 30.6 x 14.5 cm, which allows it to be placed alongside other office devices. The printer can be connected to a PC via a USB port. The trays can be withdrawn as and when they are required, and pages can be cleanly released from the lower tray without any inconvenience.

Advantages

There is no significant effort necessary to switch between one process and another when using the Canon Pixma MG2455. It is an efficient machine with a print speed of 8 ipm in mono and 4 ipm for A4-sized paper. The printer allows for the use of XL FINE cartridges, which offer a more cost-effective way to obtain ink than standard cartridges. This theme is continued by the fact that the printer has an energy-saving ability as it turns itself off when it is not in use.

Disadvantages

The Canon Pixma MG2455 is not capable of Wi-Fi connectivity, and it does not include the cable that is required to connect it to a PC, potentially cluttering the work space and making it more difficult to get on with printing as soon as you purchase the device.
