The Canon Pixma MG2950S is an all-in-one printer in that it provides printing, scanning and copying options. These abilities alongside its design and features makes it ideal for use at home, whether for normal everyday use or as part of a business run from home. Its versatility extends to allowing users to print remotely through Wi-Fi. Although the download of the software may not be as easy as with other printers, the Canon Pixma MG-2950S is still a good option.

Design

Though the Canon Pixma MG2950S is compact with dimensions of 16.7 x 12 x 5.7 inches, it is capable of a lot, as the multiple abilities means that there will be no need to maintain several machines for different purposes. Its modern features facilitate the simplicity of the operation, from Wi-Fi connectivity to automatic power on and off. Precise images are achieved through the micro ink droplet process of printing used by this Canon. The maximum output is 60 pages.

Advantages

With the Canon Pixma MG2950S, it is possible to achieve photos at a high resolution of 4800 dpi and it prints in both colour and mono. It utilises high ink yields and makes it possible to save money on cartridges. Savings can also be made from an energy point of view as it automatically turns itself on when you start printing from your chosen device, and turns itself off when it is no longer being used. The Canon Pixma MG2950S only weighs 3.5kg.

Disadvantages

The installation of the software on Windows can be a bit of a long-winded process with a smartphone or tablet. Due to the size of the Canon MG2950S, the paper sizes are limited. The scan is not instant as it takes 14 seconds to scan an A4 page.
