Printing photos is made easy by the impressive Canon Pixma MG6852. This multifunction inkjet printer has several connectivity options to offer direct printing modes. To reduce running costs, this model uses high-yield ink cartridges. The trouble with the Canon Pixma MG6852 is its paper tray which has a limited paper-handling capacity.

Design

This printer comes in all black except its control panel and flatbed scanner cover, which are in silver. The contrast makes for an attractive and appealing unit. The Canon Pixma MG6852 features a front-load tray and memory card readers. Its control panel comes with function buttons and features a 7.5cm touchscreen display.

Advantages

Users can directly print from digital cameras and memory cards using the Canon Pixma MG6852. This model even allows mobile printing and printing and scanning through the cloud. It boasts a scan resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi and print resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. The Canon Pixma MG6852 can print lab-quality, borderless photos at a size of 10 x 15 cm in less than a minute.

Disadvantages

The print speed of the unit is quite decent for monochrome but can be faster for colour. The same goes for the copy and scan speeds of the unit, it can use a little boost. The Canon Pixma MG6852 can only carry 100 sheets at a time and there is no option for an automatic document feeder.
