A compact all-in-one, the Canon Pixma MP252 is one of the better budget MFPs from Canon. It can print, scan, and copy, making it suitable for producing or archiving everyday documents. Designed for homes and small offices, the Canon Pixma MP252 is average in terms of speed – about 7ppm (mono) and 4.8ppm (colour). Print resolution is 4800dpi and the machine scans at 600dpi using the auto scan mode.

Design

The Canon Pixma MP252 is pretty compact at 444x331x155mm, and is smaller than most other MFPs in the market. It connects to computer via High-speed USB and features a flatbed CIS scanner, which can also produce colour photocopies. The rear tray can hold a variety of media types and sizes.

Advantages

The Canon Pixma MP252 prints fast, producing 10x15cm photos in about 56 seconds. The Canon Pixma MP252 also comes with intelligent features like Canon's Easy WebPrint Ex, which allows easy web page editing and printing. Scanning resolution is 600dpi, and the paper tray self-opens to collect copies and prints.

Disadvantages

The Canon Pixma MP252, however, does not support wired or wireless networking, and does not have slots for storage media. A budget MFP, it is not the best choice for office use, but works well as an all-around home printer.
