Canon Pixma MX525 Ink Cartridges

Design

The Canon PIXMA MX525 may look a lot like some of its predecessors with a flatbed scanner, 30-sheet automatic document feeder, 100-sheet input capacity, digital copier, and a 33.6Kbps fax machine, but it boasts more unique and better features including Wi-Fi and Ethernet interfaces, PictBridge support, and the duplexer. It looks like a sleek box that measures 458mm wide, 200mm tall, and 385mm deep, and its matte plasticky frame weighs 8.7Kg, but it is sturdy and well built. Its centrepiece is a 6.2cm colour display screen and a dual function panel, while the default interface is a high-speed USB type B port.

Advantages

There is a built-in duplexer and automatic document feeder to help save time and resources. The Canon PIXMA MX525 offers both Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity for more versatility. Direct printing from smart phones, tablets, web, digital cameras, and USB thumb drives are also supported by this device. It is easy to set-up and operate, and the fax machine can function as a standalone device. There are high yield cartridges available for the Canon PIXMA MX525 for high use customers which offer further savings and less frequent halts to change cartridges.

Disadvantages

As the paper capacity and memory of the Canon PIXMA MX525 cannot be expanded, it is only suitable for small offices or home use. A larger display screen to view images before printing would also be of use. It does not support film scanning.
