The Canon Selphy CP900 is a portable photo centric printer that allows wireless printing and boasts a portable design. It produces good quality photos on the go, and is compatible with a wide range of WiFi devices that allow easy wireless connection and direct printing from personal gadgets such as iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and Android phones. The Selphy CP900 can even be used directly with various PowerShot camera models for instant photo printing. However, it can only print standard postcard size photos.
Design
Measuring only 7x5x2.4 inches, the Canon CP900 is ideal for photo enthusiasts who want instant results anytime and anywhere. The unit features a large LCD display and a simple control panel, complete with all the adjustment and control buttons a user needs to access menus and options. It has a small photo paper reserve, and a slot for different types of memory cards. In addition to its built-in WiFi for wireless connection to WiFi devices, the Selphy CP900 features a slot for direct connection to compatible cameras.
Advantages
Aside from portability and wireless connectivity, the Canon Selphy CP-900 boasts excellent quality photo prints at good speeds. It uses dye-sublimation technology, which allows instant drying and it offers even more connective interfaces including memory card slots, PictBridge, and USB memory.
Disadvantages
However, the Canon Selphy CP-900 is limited to printing small-size pictures. It can also be expensive to maintain if the consumables are more expensive than some of the Selphy's competitors.
