For households that need a reliable yet economic printer for day-to-day use, the EcoTank ET-2711 Epson printer model provides a great solution. It can manage high volumes of text or photo printing and delivers results that last. Complete with the brand’s signature EcoTank, it can help to reduce the costs of printing by up to 90%. With a minimal interface and a sleek, black finish, this unit will fit in at any home, and it’s small enough to be kept out of the way on a desk or shelf.

Design

Featuring a user-friendly system for filling the four ink bottles, the Epson ET-2711 EcoTank inkjet printer ensures that any refills can be finished without spills. It also has ink tanks that face the front of the unit and can only be topped up using the correct colour. When viewing the ink level display, users can keep an eye on the amount of ink that is left and reorder when necessary. On average, each bottle can produce 3,600 colour and 6,500 mono pages, at a dpi level of 5760 x 1440. This printer measures 375w‎ x 347d x 179h mm and weighs just 3.9kg.

Advantages

When printing in colour, this unit will produce up to 15 pages per minute, and in monochrome, this increases to 33 pages each minute. The time to the first page is 10 seconds for monochrome and 16 seconds for colour prints. For homes that need to print from mobiles, laptops or tablets, the Epson iPrint3 app makes this happen in moments. Alternatively, using the same feature, it is possible to receive files from all over the globe, making it easier to share photographs or documents with family and friends abroad.

Disadvantages

The output tray is relatively small and can only take 30 sheets, which may slow down long runs, plus the duplex function must be handled manually.
