Expert review of the Epson EcoTank L810 printer
The Epson EcoTank L810 prints-high quality and low-cost photographs from memory cards or directly from cameras using PictBridge. It is ideal for photographers both in studios and at events. It also offers CD and DVD printing. Utilising Epson’s Micro Piezo technology, the device produces high-quality output at speeds of approximately 12 seconds per each 10cm x 15cm photo, so users won’t have to wait long for printing jobs to finish. It provides an approximate printing speed of 37 pages per minute for monochrome output (plain paper, 75 g/m² weight) and 38 pages per minute for colour output. (plain paper, 75 g/m² weight).
Design
The L810 measures 542mm x 386mm x 106mm (width x depth x height) and weighs 8.2kg, with a noise level of 37 dB(A) with Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper in Photo RPM mode. It is compatible with several operating systems, including Mac OS 10.7.x, Mac OS 10.8.x, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Vista and Windows XP. The 6.9cm LCD screen offers easy visibility and seamless operation.
Advantages
The L810 is easy to set up and offers reliable printing, with a fully integrated ink tank, allowing for consistent colour printing without any mess. The tanks have a capacity of up to 70ml of ink and provide up to 3,000 pages before they need refilling. It also allows for fast and easy printing without the need for a PC. It has one paper input tray with a capacity of 50 sheets, and the paper formats it handles include A4, A5, A6, B5, C6 (envelope), DL (envelope), No.10 (envelope) and letter.
Disadvantages
The Epson EcoTank L810 is primarily a photo printer, so it is not suitable for businesses that require general printing or have more diverse printing requirements.
