The Epson FX-890A dot-matrix printer was originally designed for busy airport environments which require printing of a lot of passenger manifests and other critical documents. However, any demanding print environment can benefit from access to this workhorse dot-matrix printer. Like all other Epson dot-matrix printers, the Epson FX890A 9-pin dot-matrix airport printer has earned its dependable and durable reputation.

Design

As a printer originally intended for airport environments, the Epson FX-890A impact printer features a sheet feeder and shock resistant cover on its rugged frame. The tear-off bar is a reinforced heavy-duty accessory, and is a separate entity from the cover to make it last longer and easier to replace. Users can integrate the Epson FX-890A airport printer into any Windows application with help from a Windows driver, or take advantage of this printer's USB and parallel interfaces.

Advantages

As one of the fastest printers of its kind, the Epson FX-890A dot-matrix black and white printer boasts impressive printing speeds ranging from 680 characters per second in ultra-speed draft mode to 104 characters per second in near letter quality mode. Installing the Epson FX-890A printer couldn’t be simpler thanks to the accompanying Epson Remote Configuration Manager. The original Epson S015329 fabric ribbon for the F890A printer is fairly cheap and has an impressive yield of 7.5 million characters which helps to minimise printer downtime.

Disadvantages
