Design

This wide-format printer features a sleek and matte enclosure and a small control panel on the top right-hand side. It uses the Epson Micro Piezo drop-on-demand inkjet technology with a print resolution of up to 1440x720dpi. The Epson Stylus Pro 7450 CAD printer uses 64MB of memory. Connectivity options include a USB 2.0 and 10/100 Base Ethernet interface.

Advantages

The device is compact but versatile, accommodating A1+24" and other types of media. The print speeds are fast enough for simple jobs, at up to 23.3 square metres per hour. The Stylus Pro 7450 promises high-quality output with its 4-colour ink system. It is easy to use and programme to match the type of project being printed, and the wide colour gamut ensures more accurate and high-quality output. The Epson 7450 inkjet printer also ensures lower running costs and higher productivity. The Epson Stylus Pro 7450 is the only A1 CAD printer in its class that has fade resistant inks.

Disadvantages

The Epson Stylus Pro 7450 inkjet printer is an expensive device and is quite heavy, weighing approximately 48.9Kg without the paper and ink. The warranty is limited to a year and there are no options to expand the limited 64MB memory, which is not enough for larger print jobs. The Epson Stylus Pro 7450 deserves a larger display screen, direct-printing capabilities, and more versatile connectivity options.
