Styled in a functional grey plastic with a workmanlike design, the Epson SC-P20000 has an air of the industrial about it and brings a professional printing atmosphere to any office or workspace where it is installed. This large-format printer is something of a heavyweight in its class, weighing in at a hefty 171kg. As expected of a large-format printer, the machine also has large measurements, being 2,415 millimetres wide by 976 millimetres deep by 1,145 millimetres high. Size and weight will need to be taken into consideration when positioning. The interface features a 2.7-inch colour LCD display for information and inputs.

The Epson SureColor SC-P20000 uses PrecisionCore technology to create outputs in resolutions of up to 2,400 by 1,200 dots per inch (dpi). The award-winning system combines high productivity with great quality and benefits from a paper feed stabiliser, which uses camera technology to ensure uniformity of feed during the printing process. The ten-colour ink system uses a multi-size droplet technology to allow reproduction that has better gradation and reduced graininess, while the colour calibration is simple to use to help ensure consistent colour outputs. The Epson SureColor SC-P20000’s system has been designed with ease of use and maintenance in mind; for example, transparent windows allow for print and media input statuses to be checked during printing. The printhead position at the end of run is carefully thought out to allow for cleaning by the user, reducing the need for professional maintenance.
