Our verdict

The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-C8190D3TWC is a reliable A3 business inkjet printer perfect for small to medium workgroups. Its fast first page out time (FPOT) means costs remain low while productivity is high. Delivering A4 documents speedily, it also facilitates a range of uses for A3 documents including spreadsheets, worksheets for classrooms, brochure drafts and booklets. It also keeps electricity bills small, improving any company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) reputation and reducing environmental impact.

Design

This Epson inkjet model has dimensions of 772‎ x 873 x 1056mm (width x depth x height) and weighs 94.3kg with a noise level of 6.7B(A) according to ISO 7779 pattern with Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper and 51dB(A) with Photo RPM mode according to ISO 9296. The printing resolution is 4,800 x 1,200 dpi, and it has a maximum duty cycle of 75,000 per month and a recommended duty cycle of 500-5,000 pages per month.

Advantages

The WF-C8190D3TWC WorkForce Pro helps companies avoid hidden employee costs that are normally associated with centralised printing by ensuring consumables are changed less with its innovative ink supply system. Its first page out time is 5.5 seconds, and it can easily print up to 11,500 pages in monochrome and 8,000 in colour without changing supplies. Printing is also simple on a range of media including labels, envelopes and recycled paper, and the no-heat technology will reduce environmental impact. The printer also needs fewer replacement parts such as developers, fusers and drums. The range of tools and software available means secure print options and easy remote management of devices, plus NFC and wireless connectivity also supports printing from mobile devices.

Disadvantages

The WF-C8190D3TWC Workforce Pro Epson printer model is designed for small to medium workgroups, so it is not necessarily suitable for use by a higher number of users within a larger organisation.
